Following the recent call for AGI 2010 Council nominations, we are delighted to confirm that AGI has received a total of 10 nominations for the 5 vacant Council positions. Congratulations to Hugh Barron, British Geological Survey, who was uncontested in his nomination for the place allocated to the AGI Scotland representative.
Because we received 9 other nominations, AGI is required to hold an election for the other 4 positions on 2009 Council. Elected members sit on Council for 3 years.
To see the personal statements in support of the candidate's nominations please click here. All membership card holding, paid up, current members of the AGI are eligible to vote, this includes all 'named members' included under AGI corporate memberships (for example Sponsor, Central Government, Corporate, Small Business, etc). You may vote for UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 4 candidates by placing an 'X' in the box adjacent to their name.
FOR CONSTITUTIONAL REASONS THIS IS A POSTAL VOTE. MEMBERS HAVE ONE MONTH TO VOTE. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE IT TO THE LAST MINUTE BEARING IN MIND ONGOING POSTAL DISRUPTION.
To vote, print out a ballot paper and place a cross in the box beside the name/s of the candidates of your choice (maximum of 4 candidates). Then please insert your membership number in the lower right corner of the ballot paper. This number is required only to validate your ballot paper and will be used to ensure we receive a single vote from a member. No attempt will be made to determine the way in which a member has voted so please vote clearly and tidily. Any ballot papers submitted without a membership number; from lapsed members; received late, spoiled, faxed or emailed will be disregarded.
After completing the form please send it by post to reach AGI at the address below no later than Friday 4 December 2009.
