AGI GeoCommunity ’10: Excellent Early Support from Public Sector Delegates
We are all mindful at this current time of the financial constraints facing the UK and in particular the public sector. So it is very encouraging for AGI to see a high early level of conference bookings by public sector delegates who are being drawn to an outstanding conference programme and attractive, great-value delegate rates.
With 2 months still to go before the AGI GeoCommunity ’10 conference doors open, already 29 local service provider organisations, (for example, Local Authorities and Emergency Services) have registered delegates, with many of them sending groups. In addition no less than 23 central and regional government organisations have already booked. The latter includes, for example, the Office for National Statistics, Communities & Local Government, NHS, Natural England, British Waterways, the Department of Health, Defence Estates, Scottish Government, Welsh Assembly Government and many others.
“AGI GeoCommunity always draws a strong showing from a range of sectors including the public sector. The fact that this year has got off to a good early start with significant public sector registrations, against the backdrop of financial cut-backs in the public sector, reflects the strength of the event content and the excellent value in attending AGI GeoCommunity ’10”, said Chris Holcroft, AGI Director & CEO. “Those attending will have access to a golden opportunity to meet and listen to thought leaders, to experience industry best practice and to network with peers facing similar challenges in the drive for value in changing world”, he added.
