AGI Team Office Relocation

The AGI Team is moving office on Thursday 20 December. Our new address will be:
AGI,
1 Kensington Gore,
London,
SW7 2AR.

As many of our members will be well aware this is also the address of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Not only is it one of the most attractive buildings in the heart of  London it is also of course steeped in geographic significance. The AGI and the RGS-IBG have had close connections for many years, most recently with the Chartered Geographer (GIS) scheme. Both the AGI and the RGS-IBG wish to explore further opportunities for working together in future to exploit the combination of interests and skills across their memberships. The AGI move to the same address as the RGS-IBG will facilitate these discussions and we look forward to keeping our members updated on these discussions during 2013.

The main AGI telephone number will be 020 7591 3190

All email addresses for AGI will be unchanged as will bank account details.

‘the move to RGS is a positive one – this should help AGI reach out to another audience and I can also see benefits to the RGS.’ Liz Tucker—DEFRA

Kind regards

The AGI Team

AGI Showcase Events 2013: Registration Open

AGI Showcase Events 2013: Registration Open

2013 is going to see a new and exciting format for the AGI events programme, designed to improve and widen the content.

We will be delivering six focused showcase events around the UK. It's a showcase because it will contain multiple streams.

This new approach is in response to the feedback from members for more regional and varied content which reflects the current 'hot topics' in GI.

We are pleased to be able to offer delegate rates at no more than £49+VAT per event for members, this is a £20 reduction on past year’s events.

At each of these events we will have multiple streams of presentations throughout the day and it will be a great opportunity to showcase current and topical content. Each event will give you 4 CPD points.

24th June - RGS, London
October - Belfast
November - North (location TBC)
