Get your earlybird tickets for #GeoCom17 here!

On October 26th 2017, we’re bringing thought leaders and forward-thinking individuals and businesses together to explore the impact of geospatial on the emerging digital economy. The event is Smart Geospatial – the AGI’s annual conference. Book your place now!

We’ll be hearing from a range of speakers with insightful answers (and questions) about the use of geospatial in a ‘smarter’ and more connected world. You’ll meet people who are already working with emerging geospatial technologies, and we’ll hear who’s leading the way with responses to policies and key geospatial strategies.

Smart Geospatial – #GeoCom17 – will once again be held at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London. Our outline programme for the day is as follows:

Breakfast Briefing

Registration and Welcome

Morning sessions:

  • Talking Technology
    – what is it that’s driving the most dramatic changes we’re seeing, new ‘Smart’ technology or demands for greater, more-connected data? Our guest speakers will be looking at these influences and exploring what’s shaping the need for, delivery of, and use of geospatial…
  • Perpetual Policies
    – staying ahead, being competitive, responding to change. Our speakers will be giving us real world example of policy changes that impact our industry, and others, and looking at the reasons why we may to have become even more flexible and dynamic…

Lunch

  • Lightning Sessions
    – short, insightful, and a chance for YOU to impress us with YOUR views on the game-changing Smart-enabled geo-technology we’re likely to see over the next couple of years.
  • Future-proofing…
    – on the road to discovery, it does help to know what’s just over the horizon. For geographers of all kinds, and anyone who’s connected to or curious about geospatial, it’s clear the future will be all about Smart geospatial – so the questions is, what should we be doing today?

GeoBeers

Who are our speakers?

Still to be announced! But we’ll be hearing from a range of well-known individuals speakers with insightful answers (and questions) about the use of geospatial in a ‘smarter’ and more connected world. You’ll meet people who are already working with emerging geospatial technologies, and we’ll hear who’s leading the way with responses to policies and key geospatial strategies.

Lightning Session talks: could you give one?

The work of the AGI revolves around you. As a one-day event, our Annual Conference gives you affordable access to some great networking opportunities – and inspiring speakers too.  Lightning Session submissions cannot be commercial, and will be strictly 7 minutes long.

Once again, this year we’d like you to share the stage by taking part in our Lightning Session. What challenges do you see ahead? Do you have a case study or experience you’d like to share?

Is Smart Geospatial the right event for you?

The AGI’s annual conference is the members’ event that’s open to all – so the answer is yes, if you’re working in geospatial. The answer is also yes, if you’re curious about spatial data, or want to benefit from the advantages geospatial offers to other sectors. And the answer is definitely, yes, if you want to find a competitive edge, and get richer insights into the future for geospatial businesses today.

Get a flavour of last year’s event here in our short video – and make sure you get your earlybird tickets now. Only 25 tickets are available at £25, do you know a young person who’d love to go, or will you snap up an earlybird ticket for yourself?!
