AGI budget setting 'weekend' is well underway..

...and the finer details are still to be worked out, but we think that another bottle or two will sort it out ;-)

Still the conference figures were much better than even we could have hoped for!! Thanks to you all for your input...and here's to 2012! Sent using a mobile device; please excuse any erratic spelling.

Océ contribution following event...

Hope everybody enjoyed AGI GeoCommunity Conference as much as we did! It was a big success, the response was fantastic to Océ's ultra fast live printing from GIS data on the ColorWave 600 system (http://www.oce.co.uk/products/ColorWave600-for-map-production/default.aspx) using our pioneering Océ CrystalPoint technology.

So many people who came to our stand were amazed that we could print extremely high quality maps within 60 seconds when they told use their own systems normally take at least 20 minutes!

So you can bet your bottom dollar that we'll be following up the dozens of enquires we got over the two days. And I'm sure we'll want to be back again next year!

Day 2

Good morning to you all...a gentle start to Day 2 (can't think why many of you maybe needing one) with a shot of the view of Nottingham (ed. Birmingham surely?) from the Pagoda. A nice spot - well worth the 40mins run this morning ;-) Sent using a mobile device; please excuse any erratic spelling.

Day 1?  Check!

Day 1 of #GeoCom is done, bar the poor decision making over bedtimes!

We've had a wide variety of presentations: some great scene setting of important issues in the industry from the plenary & keynote speakers, to the nitty gritty of GIS to enable slum dwellers in developing nations, to 3D GIS/CAD Integration, transport crime mapping, emergency mapping systems, the UK Location Programme, and.. oh hell, lots of great geostuff.

And the Soapbox.

And the party.

Oh, and the geosambucca for some.

Part 2 kicks off at 10 tomorrow morning. #geobleary? There'll be audience participation!

Jeremy
