GGP offers emergency services flexible gazetteer and GIS solutions
GGP Systems has launched a new range of software options to help UK fire and police services streamline operations and improve efficiencies. GGP Response combines award winning gazetteer management software with a geographic information system (GIS) to provide easy access to centralised address data, integrate front and back office systems and benefit from a set of powerful geographic analysis tools.
GGP Response is now available in three options; Gold, Silver and Bronze, structured and priced to help organisations make the most of restricted budgets while still benefiting from the latest software innovations.
GGP Response is a powerful address based intelligence solution specifically designed to meet the needs of emergency service organisations. It provides centralised access to address data and allows organisations to access and maintain national datasets such as the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and National Street Gazetteer (NSG). The gazetteer management software also provides the tools to integrate the data with web-based applications and other corporate or departmental systems as well as communicating with the national hub.
Also included within all GGP Response packages is an OGC compliant desktop GIS that provides a spatial viewer and editor for plotting and maintaining the geographic locations of properties and streets. The GIS is also compatible with Oracle Locator, SQL Server 2008 and PostGIS databases, facilitating the import and export of data with other software packages and systems.
“GGP Response has already been very well received by the Police and Fire & Rescue services. The solution is vital for improving efficiencies but we appreciate budgets are being squeezed. We hope that by packaging the software into various levels, with differing functionality, emergency services organisations can at least afford to come in at the basic level – Bronze – to benefit from the technology today and make a start at transforming their services,” commented Tim Maxwell, Managing Director and founder of GGP Systems.
Additional options included in GGP Response Silver and Gold include packages for cross referencing and batch processing of addresses, sync tools to ensure synchronisation between data held in different application databases and web enablers providing online access to address data and geographical information.
