Devon & Somerset FRS Sign Up For Innogistic's CFRMIS Operational Intelligence Software

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have become the eleventh UK brigade to sign up to the early adopters programme for Innogistic's new CFRMIS Operational Intelligence Solution. The groundbreaking solution has been designed in close co-operation with the UK Fire and Rescue Services, many of which are also implementing the new software as a part of the early adopter scheme.

Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is the fifth largest Brigade in the UK. With its Headquarters in Exeter, it provides Fire and Rescue cover from 84 stations across the two counties for an area of over 1 million hectares and a population of 1.6 million people.

Paul Jenkins, the officer leading the Risk Information Project for Devon & Somerset FRS said: 'We were very impressed with Innogistic's new solution. We also welcome the opportunity of being involved at the beginning, this will ensure that our opinions and ideas are considered, and in conjunction with other Fire and Rescue Service, we can help to shape the future development of the system.' Andy Carter, Innogistic's Emergency Services Business Manager said: 'Welcoming our eleventh early adopter is a great milestone for our Operational Intelligence Solution, especially as the scheme has only been available for a few months.'

The new CFRMIS Operational Intelligence solution has been developed to provide Site Specific Risk Information (SSRI) direct to operational fire crews and is fully compliant with the CFOA and CLG guidance on the provision of SSRI, issued last year. This will allow the information, which is vital for fire crew safety, to be delivered directly to mobile terminals in fire appliances as well as to the new Regional Control Centres.

Innogistic is the leading supplier of data management systems for the UK Fire & Rescue Community and is well known for its CFRMIS Fire Safety solutions which have become the defacto standard for Technical and Community Fire Safety (TFS/CFS) management. Andy continues; 'CFRMIS is now utilized by 60% of the UK's Fire and Rescue Services. With the success of our Early Adopters scheme our Operational Intelligence solution is already being implemented by over 25% of English brigades and we expect this figure to keep growing. This shows the confidence that the Fire & Rescue Community has in our products, a fact that we at Innogistic are very proud of.'

Andy concluded by saying; 'I am certain that Devon and Somerset will not be the last. We are already talking to several other brigades who are close to coming on board as well. On top of this we recently ran a couple of 'webinars' giving an on-line demonstration of the Operational Intelligence solution and had a very good number of delegates from many brigades across the UK. These webinars were so successful that we are planning on running another one soon'
