Informed Solutions and Communities and Local Government's (CLG) have been shortlisted for The Guardian Government Computing Award 2010 for Collaborative Working in recognition of the achievements of the Data Interchange Hub ('Hub') and Places Analysis Tool (PAT) projects.

The Hub and PAT join-up the many and varied tiers of the public sector, providing end-to-end information and performance management for Local Area Agreements. The solutions support a complex information lifecycle from information gathering, verification, negotiation and approval to publication and analysis within a secure and controlled environment. Critical to success was the need to consult widely, shape a consensus and adopt a truly collaborative approach to implementation. This approach brought together representatives from each of the main Government Departments, the regional Government Offices, the Inspectorates, Local Strategic Partnerships and citizens.

David Fry, Deputy Director, Geographic and Statistical Evidence Division Analytical Services Directorate at CLG said 'this is fantastic news, we are really pleased to be shortlisted in what I have been told has been a record year for entries.'

Seth Finegan, Director of Consulting Services at Informed Solutions said 'we are delighted that our method of engaging and collaborating with such complex stakeholder communities has been recognised by the award panel.'

The GC Awards are the original and most prestigious awards for using technology to raise the game in public services rewarding excellence in public sector IT. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held Wednesday 21 April 2010.
