Northern Ireland Water GIS Viewer+ Contract Awarded
Northern Ireland Water (NIW) is pleased to announce that they have awarded the contract to supply the new GIS Viewer+ which will replace the existing GIS web viewer. After a rigorous selection process the contract was awarded to Innogistic who are based in Bristol.
As part on the continuous development of its Corporate Asset Register (CAR) the GIS Viewer+ will provide users with a seamless view of asset records and provide updates to Asset Information teams which in turn will assist with the overall drive to improve data under the auspices of the Data Quality initiative.
Much of the new functionality will empower users to avail of mid-level GIS functionality which is not currently available. More significantly GIS Viewer+ will allow users to communicate changes to the CAR in a more streamlined manner which will be underpinned by improved business processes.
Apart from a fully supported corporate application the new GIS Viewer+ will help support an increasing demand for asset data and geospatial services analogous with many other utility providers globally. Improved system integration with key databases including Ellipse, PEARL (real time asset monitoring), Cost to Serve, Situational Awareness (Customer Services), Developer Services and DIAMOND (data warehousing) will be possible.
Innogistic,
Northern Ireland Water
