INSPIRE ANNEX II and III data specifications testing – call for participants.
 
This call is addressed to the INSPIRE Spatial Data Interest Communities (SDICs) and Legally Mandated Organisations (LMOs).

By the end of June 2011, the over 180 experts organized in 19 Thematic Working Groups will have provided  their proposals for the draft INSPIRE data specifications of 25 data themes. These proposals, along with the results of the stakeholder consultation and testing, will be the basis for proposals for the INSPIRE Implementing Rules Legal Act.

Testing is foreseen to cover two phases:

• the feasibility of making data available in compliance with the proposed data specifications ( to be published in June 2011)  and
• fitness for purpose testing, checking if the INSPIRE-compliant data can be used for relevant use cases and

The Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) and INSPIRE Consolidation team (CT) will use the results of the testing as input  for the work on version 3.0 of the specifications. This process can also provide the first test bed for interaction between INSPIRE stakeholders and can allow them to team up to collaborate on the testing and exchange experiences.
 
The testing activities will take place in a period of 4 months between 20 June and 21 October 2011.
