Cambs Fire & Rescue Service are first to implement Innogistic's new CFRMIS™ 5

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has become the first brigade in Great Britain to implement Innogistic’s new CFRMIS 5 (Community Fire Risk Management Information System).  The new version of this popular Community Fire Safety solution is fully web enabled and can be accessed via a web browser.  CFRMIS is now the most widely used fire safety software in the UK and is operational at over half of the country’s Fire and Rescue Services.

Andy Carter, Emergency Services Business Manager for Innogistic said: “This new version of CFRMIS, being fully web enabled, has obvious cost benefits for our FRS partners in these cost conscious times, as there is no need for resident software on all accessing terminals.  All the CFRMIS facilities and functionality can be accessed through security controlled permission levels via any standard web browser on any web enabled PC, laptop or other device.  This is a good example of how CFRMIS has been, and continues to be, developed in close co-operation with all our UK FRS partners”.

The Cambridgeshire FRS contract was awarded to Innogistic following a competitive procurement tender.  Tamsin Wain, Project Manager at Cambridgeshire FRS said:  “We were very pleased with the breadth of capabilities built into CFRMIS and were particularly impressed by the results that the solution has been achieving at other Fire and Rescue Services across the country.  It is also exciting to be the first to implement the new web based CFRMIS 5.”

Maurice Moore, Area Manager at Cambridgeshire FRS and senior officer in charge of the implementation project said “Both teams, our own and Innogistic’s, have demonstrated a very professional approach to this task.  The whole project has progressed to full implementation incredibly smoothly and in a very short period of time and we have been impressed by the excellent project management, support and technical backup services offered by Innogistic.”

CFRMIS is used across the entire spectrum of fire safety activities.  This includes the collection, maintenance and management of accurate premises records for fire safety operations and risk intelligence.  The solution combines a comprehensive premises records database with sophisticated job management tools for managing the whole fire safety inspection process.

CFRMIS also offers an additional mobile data-collection capability which is deployed in the field using tablet laptops.  This feature recently achieved 15% productivity improvements when implemented at Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.  On top of this a new Operational Intelligence module was recently launched which provides Site Specific Risk Information for operational crews and control centres.
