Cambridge, UK, 26th August 2011. 1Spatial is delighted to announce the launch of the Radius Studio Accreditation Programme to support customers in getting the most out of our flagship technology platform.

The programme recognises that end users can be as important as the technology they are using. It provides a way for people to develop specialist knowledge and increase their understanding around the powerful, rules-based processing technology.

With a hands-on focus, certifications are based on practical implementations of the Radius Studio technology, which can be in a variety of scenarios. There are two levels of accreditation; Practitioner and Professional, where, to be a Professional, you must already hold the Practitioner level certification.

In addition to the immediate benefits of being able to maximise your organisation’s investment in Radius Studio by exploiting the full potential of the technology, in the longer term you are contributing to both your own personal development and the skillsets available within your organisation. Practitioners and Professionals alike will have access to a help and advice from the Programme Coordinator via accreditation@1spatial.com  and obtaining each of the certifications is free.

Lee Wells, Senior Land and Property Information Officer at Staffordshire County Council and one of the first certified Radius Studio Practitioners, said:

“I’m really pleased to have been recognised for this award. For most people they are just doing their day job which involves constantly learning and evolving the way they work and this programme recognises the skills and knowledge passed on and supported by 1Spatial. Both Staffordshire County Council and myself have gained valuable resources, which have seen a real return in both quality of data and efficiency savings and we are looking to build on this with further projects in the future.”

Chris Wright, Radius Studio Programme Coordinator at 1Spatial added:

“The criteria associated with the certifications are deliberately defined in order to develop individuals both personally and as valuable business assets. As ‘subject matter experts’, Practitioners and Professionals can provide guidance and help around the use of Radius Studio and perhaps suggest further uses, enabling organisations to fully realise the potential of their investment.”
