SciSys is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as a supplier of Cloud services to the UK Government. The Government Procurement Service (GPS) has established a catalogue of suppliers, known as the G-Cloud, to facilitate the supply of the entire range of cloud services from hardware to specialist consultancy on moving to the cloud.
Steve Brignall, SciSys CTO commented: “The UK Government has had the provision of IT services via the cloud as a strategic priority for some time, and the G-Cloud is a significant step to realising the benefits of the cloud. Inclusion on this catalogue is vital for any supplier who wishes to continue providing IT services to the UK Government. Our inclusion on both the lots we tendered means we will continue to bring premium value to existing and new Government customers”
SciSys have been successful in achieving entries in both lots that it applied for: Google Mapping services and Helpdesk provision (With Cherwell) in the Software As A Service (SAAS) lot and integration, implementation, application management / support and Google Mapping Consultancy on the specialist cloud services lot.
This is a first step towards the formation of the G-Cloud; further services can be added at a later date, subject to GPS approval, and SciSys will be actively building a portfolio of cloud services in the future.
