Symology awarded only Street Works place on G Cloud Framework

HM Government is committed to the adoption of cloud computing and delivering computing resources. The G-Cloud is an iterative programme of work to achieve this, which will deliver fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates ICT.

Solutions awarded a place on the G Cloud framework can be procured directly by public sector organisations without the need for an OJEU procurement process or mini-competition. This not only saves money but also dramatically shortens the time to implementation.

Insight Street Works Management for Traffic Managers (Cloud Edition) builds on existing attributes of Symology’s Managed Service and delivers Symology’s traditional Street Works Management solution in a way that is consistent with the demands of cloud computing:

• A point solution for Street Works Management with well-defined and streamlined processes for system commissioning and contract exit
• Launched from a web browser for ease of user implementation and access
• More efficient use of ICT and energy resources through use of a multi-tenanted architecture
• Allows the business to scale its requirements through dynamic adjustment of user numbers (up and down) with charges varying accordingly
• Reduction in vendor lock-in as a result of 12 month minimum contract term
• ISO 27001 certification provides reassurance on security and availability
