SciSys delivers Systems Integration for the Coal Authority
SciSys led partnership delivers seamless Systems Integration for the Coal Authority
SciSys’ Environment Division, working on behalf of the Coal Authority, has delivered the first phase of an innovative spatially enabled corporate business information system known as Inferis.
Working in close co-operation with leading software suppliers, IBM Software and ESRI, Inferis provides the Coal Authority for the first time with an enterprise wide spatially enabled solution that facilitates smarter working via corporate data sharing and service re-use.
Commenting on the delivery of Inferis Steve Pennell, Director of Mining Information and Services, said “The Coal Authority undertakes several complex business operations involving legacy coal mining with public safety to the fore. What has impressed me about the SciSys team is the way that they have established an open delivery focussed relationship both with ourselves but also with their own partners and suppliers. The development of this close relationship between customer and suppliers has been central to the seamless delivery of Inferis.”
On behalf of SciSys, David Jones, CEO said “Like any large Systems Integration project, delivering Inferis has not been without its technical and operational challenges. The smooth implementation of the project is down to the excellent relationship we have formed with the Coal Authority and the collaborative approach of the three delivery parties, ourselves, IBM Software and ESRI.”
