1Spatial to join AIM through reverse takeover

IQ Holdings, the investment group, is pleased to announce that it has today reached an agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of 1Spatial Group Limited.  Pursuant to the AIM Rules for Companies, the Acquisition will constitute a reverse takeover and will be subject to shareholder approval.

1Spatial signs distribution agreement with Critchlow - further strengthening operations in New Zealand

13th September 2010, Cambridge UK. 1Spatial, provider of intelligent data quality and integration solutions, have today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Critchlow, providers of spatial data quality and processing services.  Under this agreement Critchlow will provide 1Spatial software and solutions to clients in the New Zealand market. 

Today’s announcement represents the second major expansion into the APAC region for 1Spatial with the recent appointment of Guy Perkins as Managing Director for Asia Pacific.  There is a growing need in this market for clean, validated and trusted spatial data.  No longer are organisations satisfied with just making do, instead, they are finding that they can achieve significant productivity gains by enriching business processes with accurate and accessible location-based data.

1Spatial Appoints Guy Perkins as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific

31st August 2010, Cambridge UK. 1Spatial, provider of intelligent data quality and integration solutions, announces the appointment of Guy Perkins as Managing Director for Asia Pacific, effective immediately.

"1Spatial is delighted to further expand its footprint in the APAC market. Guy brings extensive knowledge and business insight and his appointment reflects our continued commitment to this region and our existing install base", said Nic Snape, CEO of 1Spatial. 

 

Perkins has over 25 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the geospatial industry. Prior to his current appointment Perkins held various executive management positions with leading organisations in the geospatial industry including ESRI and PitneyBowes MapInfo. Previously, he was also CEO of ER Mapper's global operations.

1Spatial’s ‘Sensor Web Enablement’ Capability Enters Live Field Trials

8th July 2010, Cambridge, UK. 

The SWIMA project (‘Sensor Web for Infrastructure Management’) is using live field trials in the River Tamar catchment to demonstrate how the use of the Open Geospatial Consortium’s (OGC) international ‘Sensor Web Enablement’ (SWE) standards can improve environmental monitoring capabilities. Supported by the Technology Strategy Board, the two-year £900,000 project involves a QinetiQ-led consortium which includes: 1Spatial Group Limited, the Environment Agency of England and Wales; South West Water; YSI Hydrodata Limited and the University of Nottingham’s Centre for Geospatial Science (CGS).

1Spatial to showcase Technical Guidance for Transformation Network Services at INSPIRE Conference

16th June 2010, Cambridge, UK. 1Spatial is pleased to announce their participation in the European Commission’s INSPIRE Conference in Kraków, Poland from 22nd - 25th June 2010.

The INSPIRE Conference, formerly the EC-GIS Conference, organised by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) provides a forum for sharing information and experiences related to the implementation of INSPIRE and the development of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs) in general. This year’s theme is “INSPIRE as a Framework for Cooperation” and the activities include pre-conference workshops ahead of the main programme.
