Solihull College stay ahead with evidence based planning

Solihull College has signed up to both Total Solution Mapping (TSM) and Analyst on an initial three year deal.

Solihull College will be using Analyst, the labour market skills forecasting tool to generate intelligence on the changing profile of the local job market, ensuring that their curriculum is focused on key local sectors and the occupations that make up these sectors. Alongside this, TSM, the demographic information targeting software will be used to target marketing messaging and promotional activity to the right groups of learners and employers.

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority renew PHOENIX

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority have renewed their PHOENIX contract for a further three years. The Authority will be using PHOENIX to ensure that they have the right tools for the challenging times that lie ahead for the sector.

PHOENIX provides the complete solution to IRMP and is the must have solution for deployment modelling and understanding the impact of fire cover, workload and risk in the community.

Staffordshire FRS plan ahead with PHOENIX and Total Solution Mapping

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has become the latest fire service to purchase PHOENIX, the workload and deployment tool from ACTIVE.

Staffordshire FRS were awarded £46 million in October 2009 after a successful bid for funding through the governments private finance initiative (PFI) scheme. The project will see seven fire stations rebuilt as well as the construction of an additional three stations in areas where there is a need for additional resource.

Staffordshire FRS will be using PHOENIX alongside Total Solution Mapping to undertake a full analysis of all appliances, stations and crewing as part of their emergency cover review which will determine what the most optimal station locations and crewing arrangements are for the new fire stations. Using PHOENIX alongside incident data and lifestyle data, Staffordshire FRS will be able to instantly see the impact of any changes to the structure and provision of emergency cover in the county.

A year ago ACTIVE were instructed to build the eLMI tool (electronic Labour Market Information) on behalf of LSIS as part of the World Class Skills programme, aimed at supporting further education training providers and colleges to meet the training and skills needs of businesses in their localities.
