UK Gazetteer Best Practice Day Announced for 10th June 2010

Old Woking, Surrey 27th April 2010 – The date for latest UK Gazetteer Best Practice Day, which is to be held in Bolton, has been announced as 10th June 2010.

It will be the third meeting of this best practice community, with previous meetings in both Cardiff and London being hailed successes.

The event is sponsored by gazetteer specialists Aligned Assets and held in association with GEO:connexion UK.  Being held at the offices of Bolton Council, it is designed for all people involved in either gazetteer management directly or those who use gazetteer data such as GIS specialists.

New data source for Housing Associations and NROSH

NLPG data is now available for use by Housing Associations for gaining UPRNs and for more accurate use of GIS

Woking, Surrey 19th April 2010 - A new source of high quality address data is now available to Housing Associations across England that enables compatibility with the National Register of Social Housing (NROSH).

Through address management specialists Aligned Assets, data from the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) can now be quickly and easily purchased in subsets right down to District and Borough Council level.

Integration takes centre stage at UK Gazetteer Best Practice Day  

Old Woking, Surrey 4th March 2010 - With over 60 delegates from more than 30 public sector organisations, the most recent Aligned Assets sponsored UK Gazetteer Best Practice Day proved to be the most successful yet.

Held at the offices of the London Borough of Southwark, themselves champions of Best Practice, there were six presentations, with themes ranging from web services at Cardiff Council, to the combining of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) with the One Scotland Gazetteer (OSG) by the British Transport Police.
