Surrey Heath Borough Council To Boost Efficiency With GGP Software

Croydon, 03 November 2010 - Surrey Heath Borough Council is set to boost the efficiency of local services with new software that simplifies access to council information. The award winning Gazetteer Management Software from Croydon based GGP Systems will help the Council integrate their centralised property database with front and back office systems such as Council Tax, the Electoral Register and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software supplied by Lagan.

GGP Software Users Win National Awards 

Croydon, UK, 21 October 2010 – Users of GGP software were  announced as winners in five out of six categories at a national awards  ceremony.  The 2010 National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and  National Street Gazetteer (NSG) Exemplar Awards were presented at a one-day  conference ‘Everything Happens Somewhere’ held on the 20th October at Cutlers’  Hall, Sheffield, UK.

The London Borough of Harrow scooped awards  for their innovative use of technology together with the Financial and Green  Awards, while Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were rewarded for  organisation wide integration of address records.  Plymouth City Council  meanwhile received the Naming Award having demonstrated two street naming  projects that celebrated and commemorated former residents of the historic port  city.

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service - new 'Response' system

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has procured award winning Gazetteer Management Software and Geographic Information System (GIS) from GGP Systems. Designed to provide easy access to centralised address data, integrate front and back office systems and deliver powerful geographic analysis, GGP Response will initially be used to facilitate the integration of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) within the Service’s mobilisation software. Longer term plans, based around the use of GGP Response, include accessing the gazetteer data from Mobile Data Terminals on fire appliances and the integration of the NLPG to join up disparate departmental databases.

GGP Systems Offers Public Sector Cost Savings with New Payment Plan

Croydon, UK, 01 October 2010 – In a move to address  spending cuts and boost efficiency in the UK public sector, geographic  information systems (GIS) and gazetteer management software supplier GGP Systems  is introducing a “ new way to pay” for all new purchases, allowing its customers  to spread the cost of their software over a three or five year period.  GGP  Systems hopes the introduction of its “new way to pay”, called FlexiPay, will  ease the budget pressures being faced by many organisations while still enabling councils and emergency services organisations to reap the rewards of innovative software designed to improve efficiency in the public sector.
