Blaby District Council transforms their back office system

London, UK, 04 June 20120 - Blaby District Council has undertaken an award-winning project to revolutionise the quality and currency of address records within the Leicestershire based council.  The annual comparison table shows that Blaby have worked exceptionally hard over the last year to be judged the ‘Most Improved Local Land and Property Gazetteer’ at a national Awards ceremony.  Their database contributes to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG), the definitive property database for the whole of England and Wales.

General Election 2010: Identifying Voters Through A Direct Property Linkage

London, April 22, 2010 - As the 2010 General Election campaigns gather pace, Council held Electoral Registers are for the first time benefitting from their linkage with the single address register created by local government, the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG). All electors live somewhere but historically, this information has been maintained in different ways.  Now, with thanks to the hard work and effort made by local authorities and a 2008 Directive from the Ministry of Justice, all entries in Electoral Registers are now associated with a property.  This project has ensured that as many people as possible who can vote have the opportunity to do so, together with improving the reliability and accountability of electoral information.

Intelligent Addressing Director Joins INSPIRE Experts Panel

London, 21 April, 2010 – Following a competitive  process, Simon Barlow, a Director of Intelligent Addressing Ltd, has been  selected as an Expert by the EU INSPIRE team.  As the LGIH nominee, Simon will be part of the ‘Buildings’ Technical Working Group (TWG),  tasked with the development of the Buildings theme data specification for annex  three of the EU INSPIRE Directive.
