Department of Energy and Climate Change Licenses NLPG 

London, 15 June 2010 – The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has chosen to license the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG). DECC will use the NLPG as part of its National Energy Efficiency Data framework (NEED).  The NEED project aims to provide property level information on building energy use and performance.

Blaby District Council transforms their back office system

London, UK, 04 June 20120 - Blaby District Council has undertaken an award-winning project to revolutionise the quality and currency of address records within the Leicestershire based council.  The annual comparison table shows that Blaby have worked exceptionally hard over the last year to be judged the ‘Most Improved Local Land and Property Gazetteer’ at a national Awards ceremony.  Their database contributes to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG), the definitive property database for the whole of England and Wales.

Date and venue of NLPG NSG annual conference announced

The 2010 NLPG NSG annual conference has been renamed from ‘Underpinning Transformational Government’ to ‘Everything Happens Somewhere’. The conference and exhibition will take place on 20th October at Cutlers’ Hall in central Sheffield. Details of the conference and exhibition are being finalised and will be available imminently.

This year’s Exemplar Awards scheme will be launched during June.

NEW DATE: IA at 'Addressing the Future' conference 15th June, Brussels

The First European Address Conference was due to take place on 22nd April, but due to Icelandic volcano activity, it was cancelled.  The meeting is now rescheduled for 15th June.

Michael Nicholson, MD of Intelligent Addressing, a partner in the EURADIN project, together with Andrew Young from Durham County Council will be speaking at the 1st European Address conference in Brussels on 15th June. Registration for the conference is free of charge.
