The Landmap Service will be having a half-day free seminar.

When? 13:30 – 16:45,  17th November 2010

Where? Lecture Theatre A, University Place, University of Manchester

Who? Undergraduate students in Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Ecology and Geography but also useful to postgraduates.

Why attend? Knowledge of the Landmap spatial datasets and learning materials, listen to presentations from industry and past students who have used Landmap datasets for their studies, how to become a member of the Association of Geographic Information (AGI), and networking opportunities.

Understanding UKMap Workshop

The Landmap Service will be having a one day free workshop on UKMap dataset.

When? 09:30 – 16:30,  12th November 2010

Where? Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, First Floor of Chadwick Building, University College London.

Who? Essential for postgraduate students particularly PhD and Masters students, academic and research staff to attend.

Why attend? Knowledge of the UKMap dataset, its applications, data acquisition and hands-on practice. Sample data available to download once registered for the event.

Landmap Service: Metadata Survey

Landmap is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and is a Mimas hosted service. Providing high quality spatial datasets is the main aim of the service enhanced with a diverse range of learning materials to support their use.

Currently, the Landmap Service is gathering geospatial metadata user requirements. This is your chance to express what sort of information you would like us to include in our Landmap geospatial metadata. 

This quick survey should only take five minutes to complete. All data collected will be held anonymously and securely.  5 participants picked at random will win £25 each in Amazon vouchers.
