Volunteer of the Year

The AGI depends very much on the efforts of its most active members, who contribute time, energy and enthusiam to helping the organisation fulfill its objectives. This might entail, for example, total commitment to AGI Committees, for example the Conference Committee, or more generally offering support to the AGI staff who are required to deliver a great many services to the membership with often limited resources. A great example was when volunteers pitched in to stuff delegate bags in preparation for AGI2006 on a weekend!

With these members in mind, the AGI Volunteer of the Year Award was created. The winner is chosen by the AGI team based entirely on who has made an outstanding contribution to their efforts.

Any member who commits time and energy over and above the call of duty will be considered by the Team for reward at the annual Awards dinner. What better incentive than that to get more involved in our work!

Past winners of this Award include:

  • 2012: Sue Beetlestone
  • 2011: Hugh Barron
  • 2010: Mark Percival
