System Suppliers

The Systems and Service Suppliers’ Special Interest Group (SIG) is run by volunteers from AGI corporate members for the mutual benefit of the AGI supplier community as a whole.

The SIG welcomes members from across the commercial GEO community, including data, hardware, software and service suppliers. By working together in a collaborative way the group aims to offer members the following benefits:

  • A strong collective, professional voice in response to important industry issues
  • The opportunity to influence and contribute to the planning of future AGI events
  • Connections with AGI Council and other Special Interest Groups
  • Opportunities to jointly participate in an AGI pavilion at other exhibitions
  • Influence the future priorities of the group
  • Formal and informal networking opportunities

Communication within the SIG is usually made using the LinkedIn group or by email, with occasional conference calls and physical meetings as required. Discussions are often conducted under ‘Chatham House’ rules to respect commercial sensitivities and encourage an open exchange of views. Please feel free to join us if you think you could benefit. Opportunities to join the SIG committee are also available.

Membership Benefits

Convene, connect and collaborate

We provide many networking opportunities for members at our events, seminars and workshops, encouraging debate and forward thinking for the benefit of the whole community.

Promoting the value and benefits of GI

We work hard to ensure that the AGI's voice extends beyond the GI industry, as the considerable pace of technological advancements enables everyone to do more with their data.

Representing the GI community to policy makers

We are continually engaging with the Geospatial Commission's senior leadership team to represent your views and influence policy. We advocate for the investment in skills, shared standards and best practice, as well as better access to data.

Providing a focus for the GI community

The AGI's flagship event, GeoCom, provides a platform for world class speakers to share their vision of where geospatial information professionals can create a step change to deliver economic and societal value.

CPD, training and education

We actively encourage all our members to continue learning by participating in our free CPD scheme and to exchange their geospatial expertise with each other. Corporate members can seek CPD accreditation points for their training courses.
