On Tuesday 2 June, the AGI Early Careers Network (ECN) hosted a successful CV clinic at the University of Edinburgh, bringing together early-career geospatial professionals and students for an evening of practical career support.
The event saw a great turnout, with 18 attendees, including a strong cohort from the GIS and EOGM programmes at the University of Edinburgh. Over the course of the 90-minute session, participants received tailored guidance and constructive feedback on their CVs from experienced professionals working across different geospatial sectors. The session focused on helping attendees effectively showcase their skills, experience, and potential to prospective employers.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our volunteer reviewers — Mike Groves, Emma Diffley, Peter Green, and Bruce Gittings — for sharing their expertise and providing valuable insights.
Following the success of this event, the ECN hopes to host more in-person activities in Scotland in the future. Keep an eye on the AGI website and LinkedIn group for upcoming opportunities.
