Controlling a network of trams involves ever changing real time network analysis, understanding the flow of trams depending on the time of day, passenger demand, road traffic and delays. The 2 hour trip involves seeing the control room as well as training that the drivers undertake, giving a detailed insight as to how a tram network operates.

There is no charge for the trip, which is for AGI Members only.

When to get there

Attendees should aim to arrive at 1:50pm as the tour begins at 2pm on Wednesday 13th February.

How to get there

If you are planning to arrive by tram, then you will need to alight at the Edinburgh Gateway Station and walk around the fence line. They also have a car park and there should be spaces available for those who wish to bring their car.

As there is a limited number of places available, please only book if you can definitely attend - and if circumstances change, then let us know!
