September 14th, 2016 1:30 PM   to   5:00 PM

We would like to invite you to the ECN event at Ordnance Survey in Southampton on Wednesday 14 September. This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about OS and answer all of your questions in the afternoon. We will then be joining Maptime Southampton in the evening with a focus on hands-on mapping and an informal networking opportunity in a relaxed group.

Get behind the scenes at OS!

Find out what OS do, with tours of Remote Sensing or Cartography, and demos of the latest uses of their data for business and civilians alike, the new technologies they are researching, and a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes. One of the OS directors will be on hand to answer your questions and the tours will be by specialists in their areas!

The event will be a perfect opportunity for you to network with other GI professionals and take a look at the hub of the national mapping agency.

Arrival is at 1.30pm for a 2pm start. We aim to finish at OS by 5pm.

Maptime Southampton

We hope you will join us afterwards at the Art House in Southampton for Maptime Southampton at 7pm. This informal GI event occurs monthly and provides a great opportunity for informal networking whilst learning about the industry. We are co-hosting the event this month so please let us know if you will be able to join us.

This month’s Maptime focuses on methods for collecting and creating data. It is always a hands-on session so bring a laptop along to join in!

Parking is available in town and the Art House sell drinks and dinner from 6-9pm.

Attendance at both events is free for AGI ECN members. You must register in advance in order to provide you with access to OS. Registration will close at 10.00 am on 14 September 2016 to enable us to finalise the numbers for the event.
