Who: 

This course is designed for the GIS user who wishes to learn how to use QGIS desktop software. QGIS is free and open-source, and therefore a popular compliment for those currently using proprietary GIS applications as an introductory point for open source GIS.

The course covers the following topics, using the latest long-term release (LTR) version of QGIS:

  • Connecting to Web Services
  • Loading Raster Layers
  • Data Capture Editing
  • Measuring & Calculating Geometries
  • Spatial Geo-Processing
  • Using Print Composer
  • QGIS & Databases

When: 

QGIS Essentials is a 2 day course running on the 4th and 5th of September from 9:30am until 5:00pm on each day

Where: 

Training will take place at The Waterfront on Welsh Back, Bristol, BS1 4SB, just a 15 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads Station.
