June 4th, 2015 5:30 PM   to   8:00 PM

Steven Eglinton will look at what the language and jargon challenges are, and how different disciplines need to work more closely together to gain real benefits - for example, survey (geomatics), architects, engineering, GIS, ICT colleagues - to realise the role of Geospatial Professionals as part of the enabling skills for BIM.

Steven is a thought leader in the innovative use of Geospatial Solutions and BIM for Whole-life Asset Management, Environmental Conservation and community empowerment. He understands that true end-to-end solutions require more that technology alone, but require innovative thinking, end-user engagement, clear processes, senior management backing and strong leadership.

Steven is Chairman of the UK's Association for Geographic Information’s Asset Management group and British Computer Society’s Business Information Systems group. He is also International GIS Committee Coordinator for Iracambi, a conservation organisation based in Brazil. Steven is a Fellow of both the British Computer Society and the British Cartographic Society.
