The title of the conference is taken from a report recently published by the European Commission.* It is a benchmarking of the progress made by the public sectors of 33 European countries in moving to online service provision. The expectation is that online should be better, faster, and cheaper than service provision via other means.
The conference examines this expectation in relation to local government websites in the UK, and the part played by location intelligence on these websites.
This conference is aimed at local government professionals involved in GIS, IT and customer care. It will be equally relevant to local authorities looking to build upon an existing investment in Cadcorp technology; to local authorities considering the use of Cadcorp products for the first time and to other agencies looking to offer citizen-centric information online.
