The AGI’s Early Career Network, working in partnership with the British Cartographic Society (BCS), would like to invite you to join an online lunchtime Masterclass in Geographic Data Visualisation on 14 July, 12:30 – 14:00.
Paul Naylor, Vice-President of the BCS, will be talking about the different ways geography can be used to articulate a story from data, from topographic maps, story maps or thematic maps which bring in other data. Using examples from current affairs, Paul will talk about the methodologies, software and tools that can be used to build a narrative and create real impact. The Masterclass will consist of a lecture, followed by breakout groups to appraise examples of data visualisation, and there will be time for Q&A from participants.
