The AGI Greater Manchester Network is delighted to invite you to our upcoming event exploring The Role of Geospatial in Disaster and Emergency Response.

When disaster strikes, having accurate, timely and accessible geographic information can be critical to understanding what is happening, coordinating a response and protecting communities. From emergency planning and risk assessment to real-time incident response and recovery, geospatial data and technologies play an increasingly important role across the disaster management lifecycle.

Join us from 15:00pm on Thursday 22 October for an afternoon of talks and discussion exploring how geospatial information is being used to support disaster and emergency response, both locally and beyond. We will hear from speakers working across the geospatial, emergency services, government and resilience communities, showcasing practical examples and sharing lessons learned.

Whether you work in GIS, emergency planning, resilience, data, public services, infrastructure or another sector where location matters, this event will provide an opportunity to learn from others, share experiences and explore the evolving role of geospatial in emergency response.

Following the talks, join us for informal networking drinks and continue the conversation with fellow geospatial professionals from across Greater Manchester and beyond.
