 u at the event!\n\nTitle: Mapping the path for Nature’s Recovery in Nort
 hern Ireland\nPresenter: Nina Schönberg\n\nSummary:\nSince September 2020
  Ulster Wildlife\, RSPB NI\, National Trust and Woodland Trust have been w
 orking together on a capacity-building project around Nature Recovery Netw
 orks (NRN). With generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Lotte
 ry Fund and working closely with stakeholders such as the Northern Ireland
  Environment Agency (NIEA)\, the aim of the project is to conduct a nation
 -wide mapping exercise in order to produce Northern Ireland’s first ever
  set of habitat network maps\, to better understand the current terrestria
 l habitat cover\, its level of connectivity and to identify opportunities 
 to create more\, bigger\, better and more joined-up habitats for wildlife.
 \n\nWith assistance from these maps the project will also be developing a 
 set of case studies to portray how the NRN approach\, and associated maps 
 can inform future policy and practice. As part of her talk\, Nina Schönbe
 rg\, the Nature Recovery Networks Project Coordinator\, will discuss in mo
 re detail how the project has approached the mapping and associated data s
 ourcing and will touch upon next steps for the project.\n\nTitle: Town Cen
 tre Health Check Project\nPresenter: Katie Tener (OSNI)\n\nSummary:\nIn 20
 19\, students from QUB partnered with Donegal County Council and the Herit
 age Council to undertake Town Centre Health Checks in the border region of
  Donegal. With a focus on Bundoran\, this presentation shows how GIS can b
 e used to analyse a range of data which can be helped to inform better dec
 ision making when it comes to the development of our towns and villages.\n
