UK experiences informing global best practice – insights from crime analysis and national mapping. David Henderson & Spencer Chainey
For our next EEO-AGIS seminar we have a fantastic double act between David Henderson (Chief Geospatial Officer at the Ordnance Survey), and Prof. Spencer Chainey (Director of the Jill Dando Institute Latin America and Caribbean Unit). David and Spencer will bring together perspectives from two of the UK’s most influential geospatial domains: national mapping and crime science.
Drawing on decades of experience, they will explore how spatial insights are used to improve national service delivery and showcase how the UK continues to develop global leadership in national geospatial data infrastructure
In a repeat of the last few years, this seminar will be co-hosted by the Institute of Geography’s GIS-Update event, meaning that the event will take place on Friday 12th June at 5pm in Room 2.13, The Institute of Geography (https://share.google/97tgpgMBhPgE6AIyT). We will also be heading to a local pub afterwards for networking drinks.
Really looking forward to seeing you all at the seminar.
