DESCRIPTION:The BCS is hosting a one day workshop to get your views on what
  maps might look like in the future.\n​Since the computing revolution of
  the 1980's and the introduction of the first GIS packages\, mapping has f
 undamentally changed.\nComputing power\, screen devices\, data sharing\, s
 urvey methods\, geo analytics and cartographic tools that exist today coul
 d hardly have been dreamt of 40 years ago.\nSo what will a map be like in 
 10 years\, 20 years or even 30 years time?\nWe want your vision of the fut
 ure and help to plan the routemap for getting there.\nThe UK has a proud t
 radition of being a global leader in developing mapping and charting for o
 ur world. Help us by completing the on line questionnaire and then\, if yo
 u can\, join us for a one day 'brainstorming' event where we shall ideas a
 nd consider the possibilities. No matter how much it might feel like scinc
 e fiction\, we know the speed of change will be enormous. Let's work toget
