AGI Member Milestone Competition

These Terms and Conditions apply to the AGI Milestone Competition (the “Promotion”) run by the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) (the “Promoter”). By entering this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions

The Promoter

The Promoter is the Association for Geographic Information (AGI).

Eligibility

• The Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over.
• The Promotion is open to new members only who register and successfully complete their membership application between 00:01 on 1 August 2026 and 23:59 on 31 August 2026 (the “Promotional Period”).
• Eligible membership categories include:
• • Free Network Members
  • Individual Professional Members
  • Named Members registered as part of an active Associate or Partner membership
• Existing members or renewing members are excluded from entry.

How to Enter

• Entry is automatic upon completing a valid registration for an eligible AGI membership tier during the Promotional Period.
• No purchase is necessary for the Free Network Member tier, but a valid registration must be completed.
• Only one entry per person is permitted.

The Prize

There is one (1) prize bundle consisting of:

• One (1) £50 Amazon Voucher (subject to Amazon’s standard gift card terms and conditions).
• One (1) ticket to GeoCom 2026. The winner can choose to attend either the UK GeoCom 2026 event or the Ireland GeoCom 2027 event. Travel and accommodation are not included in the prize and any and all other costs associated with attendance shall be borne solely by the attendee, and the AGI shall have no liability for such costs.
• One (1) 30-minute interview session with Faith Clark, Marketing Consultant from Spatially Aware on behalf of the AGI. The session must be scheduled and taken by 31 December 2026.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

Winner Selection and Notification

• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a computerised random generator.
• The draw will take place within fourteen (14) days of the closing date (by 14 September 2026).
• The winner will be notified via the email address provided during their membership registration.
• If the winner does not respond to the Promoter within fourteen (14) days of the initial notification email, the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the prize and select a runner-up from the remaining eligible entries.

Data Protection and Publicity

• By entering, the winner agrees to have their name and regional location (e.g., “John S. from Hampshire”) published on AGI’s social media channels and newsletter to announce the winner.
• Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation (including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018) and the AGI Privacy Policy.

General

• The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
• The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• This Promotion and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
