The AGI NI National Group was set up to raise awareness and promote GI within a Northern Ireland context. The group is directed by a committee representing a cross section of the GI community in NI. We currently have vacancies for three new members of the committee and would welcome interest from anyone willing to volunteer time to this rewarding role.
We currently meet five times a year, as well as other sub-groups organising the annual AGI Northern Ireland conference and other smaller focus events throughout the year. In addition to representing our members in technical industries and forums, we are also seeking to reach underrepresented sectors like education, health, communities, and the life sciences.
We would appreciate a short note (up to 300 words) indicating your present work areas and how you would like to shape the work of AGI NI in the future and promote awareness and use of GI in NI.
We are particularly looking for individuals prepared to play an active role in growing, diversifying and supporting NI’s GI community through engagement and outreach. We would particularly like to encourage those new to the GI sector or students who may not have a long CV, but who have plenty of enthusiasm!
Thank you and we look forward to receiving your submissions by no later than the 4th of May 2018!
