As we head towards our 30th anniversary, our industry is experiencing momentous change – not least as a result of work being done by the Geospatial Commission. With this in mind, we’re looking for strategic support consultancy…
To continue delivering high value for our members, we know that the AGI must also change.
Our purpose remains the same. We want to maximise the use of geographic information for the benefit of citizens, for society, for commerce and good governance.
For the most part we are a volunteer-led organisation, with a volunteer Board of Directors (Council) that is supported by a full-time membership administration and financial management service. Now, we’d like to strengthen our capacity to connect people and organisations on a more frequent basis, and to extend the way we liaise with corporate bodies, the public sector and central government.
AGI wishes to engage support that demonstrates a significant level of experience and an in-depth understanding of the geographic sector, plus the highest, forward-thinking level of insights regarding all aspects of geographic information, both nationally and internationally. The ideal resource will deliver strong analytic skills and be instrumental in helping us to achieve our strategic goals:
This resource will work closely with our Executive Committee to support other networking and strategic development initiatives.
Expressions of interest will be welcome until midnight, 21 August. Meetings with interested parties will be held on 28th August, in London, with the contract commencing on 3 September.
