Airbus Defence and Space completes second Copernicus "Eye"

The Sentinel-2B optical satellite is the second of its type from Airbus Defence and Space, providing the "Colour Vision" of Europe´s Earth observation programme Copernicus, a joint project of the European Commission and the European Space Agency (ESA). In the coming months, the completed satellite will undergo a series of environmental tests at ESA's research and technology centre ESTEC, Noordwijk (The Netherlands), to determine its readiness for flight.

GEO Business 2016 took place in London at the end of May and has reported another incredibly successful show with overall attendance up a remarkable 10% on last year.  Building on the momentum of the two previous instalments, over 2,200 visitors, from a staggering 50 countries attended the show, setting the bar extremely high and positioning GEO Business as a truly international show.
