The ESRI UK Conference in London this year was particularly exciting. The opening and closing plenaries were a whirlwind of inspiration with ambitious updates to software being announced by ESRI and a stunning talk by Daniel Raven-Ellison, which connected exploration, geography and new technologies to expand our understanding of our interactions and feeling of the world around us.
I felt there was a new energy and excitement at the conference in regards to sharing our passion for GIS with discussions on the GeoMentor program and sessions on providing more tools to users to interact with GIS using ArcGIS Online and the various apps associated with it. The ArcGIS Python SDK workshop was thought-provoking with some good materials to take away. It was one of the most inspirational conferences I’ve been to in years and putting the new ideas into practice will make for an exciting year.
