Environment Systems kindly hosted AGI Cymru talks under the theme of 'Easy access to Satellite Data' on 15 March 2017. The talks highlighted the increasing availability of free satellite data and the growth in services to support these data in Wales.

Find out about the first event of 2017 which AGI Cymru have organised, with a view to holding more this year. Join them for an evening of talks relating to accessing free satellite data, including processed Landsat and Sentinel 1 images, at the Environment Systems office in Aberystwyth. Following the talks, everyone will be heading to the Glengower for some GeoBeers!

AGI Cymru is a national sub-group of the Association for Geographic Information (AGI). Representing a wide diversity of interest and experience. We aim to promote the development of the use of Geographic Information in Wales by encouraging improvements in standards and providing training and networking opportunities through events, seminars and conferences.

Please come and talk to us as we welcome contact from others, so that we can take your ideas and aspirations forward. We want AGI Cymru to be truly representative.
We are an active group of like-minded people who want to see GI go mainstream in Wales.

Better Mapping Wales is an event hosted by the Royal Geographic Society (with IBG), and the British Cartographic Society.
