Programme Released AGI Greater Manchester

The AGI Greater Manchester Network is excited to release the programme for their next in-person event on Thursday 2 July, 15:00-20:00 at the University of Manchester.

Under the theme ‘The Open Data Revolution’ this must-attend session will showcase how open data is reshaping GIS and driving innovation across the geospatial sector. Join professionals from across Greater Manchester for an inspiring afternoon of insight, discussion, and networking.

We’re delighted to feature an engaging speaker line-up including Ian Dee from Bluesky International speaking on Evolving a National Tree Map: From Canopy Map to Intelligent Inventory, Jade Fawcett from Office for National Statistics on Open Geography and joining them we have Professor Richard Kingston from the University of Manchester who will present AI-Enabled Geospatial Tools & the NERC Digital Solutions Hub (DSH): Driving Discovery, Collaboration and FAIR Environmental Data Use.

Together, these sessions will explore how open data is transforming the way spatial information is shared, integrated, and used, unlocking new possibilities for the future.
