AGI Awards Terms and Conditions

Who is eligible?

All awards are open AGI Members and Non-Members from a UK organisation, or individuals located within the UK working in or with geospatial wanting to show case innovation, achievement, and best practices.

AGI Award Geospatial Professional of the Year 2026

AGI Award Early Career Professional of the Year 2026

AGI Foresight Award 2026

AGI Award for Environment and Sustainability 2026

AGI Award for Innovation in Geospatial Technology 2026

Nominations

Projects submitted must be your own work or the work of the individual you are nominating and must not infringe on copyright or other intellectual property rights of any person or organisation.

Nominations must be completed online via the website links provided and cannot be edited after being submitted. We will not be able to review and provide details of any nominations. No acknowledgement or feedback will be provided, except to the award winners.

You are agreeing to these terms and conditions once you have completed your nomination.

Who judges the submissions?

The AGI Awards will be judged by a panel of judges selected from those who volunteer their time to support the AGI, within our council, National groups and networks and AGI Partners

Judging Criteria

Each judge will individually and independently score the submission, based on the merits of the submission.

Scores for each submission within the category will be given and the highest score will be deemed the winner.

The scoring will be as follows:

  • Innovation (maximum 10 points): Assess the level of innovation demonstrated in leveraging geographic information
  • Impact (maximum 10 points): Evaluate the significance and positive impact of the project within the geospatial domain.
  • Relevance (maximum 10 points): Consider the relevance of the project to current industry challenges and opportunities.


Judges will be required to excuse themselves from judging a submission(s) where there is a conflict of interest.

No information will be issued about nominated individual or winners prior to the awards presentation.

There will only be one winner per category.

There will be no correspondence or discussions about the final winners, the decision of the judges will be final.

Award Presentation

The winners will be announced at the GEO Business 2026 Conference, 3-4 June 2026.

Winners will be expected to register themselves and attend the awards presentation on the 3 June 16:00-17:00.

Publication

By entering the AGI Awards, you are agreeing to allow the AGI to publish details of the project on our website, our social media, and any PR in connection with the awards

Submission open: 8am Thursday 22 January 2026
Submission closing date: 5pm Friday 6 March 2026
