AGI Cymru Annual Conference – Programme Released

AGI Cymru are pleased to release the programme for their Annual Conference “Geospatial Solutions for the Built Environment” on Thursday 9 October in Cardiff.

We are delighted to welcome keynote speakers Professor Scott Orford, Cardiff University who will present on the Public Map Platform is a two-year research initiative led by Cambridge University to make places in the UK better for the people who live there, focused on Ynys Mon / Anglesey and Gayle Lister, from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority presenting Planning for the Conservation and Enhancement of Dark Skies in Wales.

This year our event brings together community speakers presenting on a range of subjects on our conference theme including Richard Flemmings, from Map Impact presenting on understanding new climate risks in the Built Environment and Joe Hillard from the National Trust on the HART Programme (Heritage and Archaeology Ranger Team).

With a focal point for the geo-community in Wales to come together and explore key geographical topics that are important to our members in Wales from tackling environmental issues to discovering how geospatial supports our everyday and working lives.
