AGI launch the 3D Network Event – Wednesday 12 November 2025

The Association for Geographic Information (AGI) is proud to launch the AGI 3D Network Event on Wednesday 12 November 2025 at the University of Nottingham, Castle Meadows Campus.

Bringing together professionals from across government, industry, and academia to explore the power, opportunities and challenges of 3D geospatial data. The event aims to shape the Network’s objectives and demonstrate the value of 3D in planning, public services, and beyond.

This exciting event will showcase how 3D is transforming the way we plan, design, and deliver services from smarter urban planning to more effective public engagement. Through live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and sector-led presentations, participants will see first-hand how 3D data is already improving business processes and shaping decision-making.

A dedicated Planning in Focus session, supported by MHCLG, will share how PropTech Innovation funding has helped local planning authorities to modernise and create more efficient, transparent planning services. Speakers from across sectors will share real-world applications, while innovative demonstrations will show how 3D data can be captured, maintained, and applied to support smarter decision-making and deeper community engagement.

The workshop will also provide space for discussion on the Network’s future objectives, ensuring it reflects the needs and ambitions of the wider geospatial community. By attending, you’ll gain insight into the latest innovations, connect with peers across sectors, and play a part in shaping the role of 3D in the years ahead.
