Our next EEO-AGIS speaker will be Dr. Zoё Fleming, from Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago, Chile. Zoё will be talking about some of the citizen science environmental monitoring projects that she has been involved with in Chile. In the talk Zoe will show how these projects have changed, activated and inspired communities and given them a voice that the authorities are starting to listen to. She will also explore how useful it is for researchers to work with these communities to gather, interpret and share this data.
The seminar will take place in Room 2.13 in the Institute of Geography at 5pm on Wed 18th February, followed by networking drinks in Ox 184.
As with the last time we used room 2.13, we will be accessing the Institute of Geography via the rear door in High School Yards. Students will greet you there and point you in the right direction, and I have attached a couple of photos below for orientation.
