AGI Early Careers Network are pleased to announce that registrations are now open for their second and third event of their Geospatial Recruitment Trilogy


Event 2: Public Sector Panel Discussions 4 February 2021

The AGI’s Early Career Network invites those who are in the early stages of their geospatial and geographic information careers to join the second virtual event of our geospatial recruitment trilogy, focused on public sector recruitment.

Our panel of speakers, including a civil service representative, will cover a range of topics centred on recruitment, which may include:-

  • Advertisement & grading of civil service vacancies
  • How geospatial experience can be applied to government roles
  • Application advice & interview tips
  • How to ‘stand out’ as a candidate

Questions posted by attendees of our first event in the recruitment trilogy series (Tips for Climbing the Geospatial Jobs Ladder), will also be answered by our panel.

The event will be hosted on Zoom, the link will be distributed prior to the event.

Event 3: Private Sector Panel Discussions 11 February 2021

The AGI’s Early Career Network invites those who are in the early stages of their geospatial and geographic information careers to join the final virtual event of our geospatial recruitment trilogy, focused on private sector recruitment.

Our panel of speakers, including professionals with experience working with geospatial technology in the private sector will discuss a range of topics centred on recruitment, which may include:-

  • Typical private sector vacancies in the geospatial sector
  • How to approach the job search
  • ‘Standing out’ in a competitive jobs market
