GeoBusiness 2022
The ECN were out in full force at GeoBusiness in May at the ExCeL London, exhibiting and presenting on what was an action packed two days of networking, engagement and making connections with students, recruiters, academics and professionals alike. The group were delighted to welcome committee member Louise Smith and network member Phillip Ridley to a careers panel discussion on the second day of the event, who shared their experiences climbing the geospatial job ladder and hints and tips for building a rewarding geospatial career and maintaining professional development. The event was a great opportunity to promote AGI and ECN and hear more about the different career journeys and challenges faced by students and early career professionals, and to explore some of the opportunities that lie ahead for the industry.
CV Clinic
The ECN were delighted to support AGI Scotland with its virtual CV clinic early in June. Registered AGI members in Scotland were able to receive invaluable advice on their CV from expert reviewers in the industry, whilst contributing to some interesting discussions around interview techniques, experiences and challenges when job seeking. Watch this space for more clinics soon!
