The AGI simply cannot operate without the support and commitment of the volunteers who give willingly of their time and experience. Council Directors, National and Network Group Members, and other helpers, are all integral in delivering a diverse and extensive event calendar, creating engagement through the special interest and regional networks, and devising and delivering long-term direction and strategy for the Association and the wider geospatial community.
In order for you to understand who these people are, why they are willing to support the AGI so generously, and what impact this has on the association, the sector and society, we are sharing the outputs of a series of one-to-one interviews with you.
In the first of these write-ups, we meet Sam Tizzard, AGI Council Member and Director for two years, and GIS & Data Manager at the London Borough of Harrow. As Sam steps down from his AGI commitments we would also like to thank him for his support.
