Early Career Network & AGI Scotland joint event 2023
Adding extra layers to your career map
Due to popular demand, our third career event is returning this year, and it will be the first in-person event in five years! As we all know, the pandemic has altered the way we work and has had a significant impact on job seekers, including those in the geospatial sector. GIS has gained more prominence, however, and its usefulness in facilitating remote work is now widely recognised. This may have prompted many job seekers to reconsider their priorities and choices. Your career path does not have to be linear, zigzagging is acceptable too.
The pandemic is not the only factor driving this change; growing interest in AI and other data science fields, as well as GIS use cases, make it necessary to embrace these areas instead of separating ourselves from them. Our event will feature inspiration and practical tips from knowledgeable professionals in the geospatial and data science industries, and we will assist you in crafting a CV that will increase your chances of landing your ideal job. Do you require additional layers to complete your career plan of action?
This event also offers an excellent networking opportunity, complemented by light refreshments. The 1-2-1 CV clinic has always garnered substantial interest, so be sure to reserve your spot and stay tuned for the complete program!
